2nd Essay contest: What do I know about Azerbaijan?
Dear Lithuanian students,
According to the confirmed governmental program: “Azerbaijan Youth in 2011-2015” by order of the President of Azerbaijani Republic, we offer to international students to participate in the essay contest under the title “What do I know about Azerbaijan?”.
Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Republic in cooperation with the Ministry of External Foreign Affairs the contest had been approved.
The contest is considered to be organized in Germany, Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Czech Republic, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Greece, Malta, Mexico, Egypt, Morocco, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Uruguay and Lithuania.
Therefore, AYOL in cooperation with the Embassy of Azerbaijan Republic in Lithuania presents this chance for Lithuanian students, too. Below, you can find the information about the participation requirements and prizes considered for the authors of the best essays.
Eligibility:
School pupils: 14-18 years old
Students and young researchers: 19-29 years old
Requirements:
1. Essays should not be more than 2500 words
2. Essays should be written in English
3. Essays should be written in Arial shift and presented in PDF format to: azlit@ayol.lt until 30th of APRIL, 2015
4. Following documents should be presented together with the essay:
• Filled in Application form
• CV
• Scanned copy of ID/Passport
5. Only Lithuanian citizenship holders can participate in the contest
For the Authors of the best Essays
The jury commission will choose the best 10 essays, thoroughly checking the scientific validity of the written materials, literature reviews, references and historical resources that will be used. The winners will be sent to Azerbaijan for the duration of 7-10 days, for the cultural exchange program, which will include the trips to the historical places of the country.
NOTE: Estimated trip to Azerbaijan will be at the end of August of 2015, and all expenses (including the flight tickets, hotel, inner transportation and meals) are covered by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Republic.
